Obverse description Crowned facing bust of King Enrique II rendered in a stylised medieval manner, occupying the central field of the coin. The bust is depicted frontally with a prominent crown above the head, characteristic of Castilian cornado coinage of the mid-14th century. A small star or crescent may appear to either side of the crown, serving as a distinguishing mark on some variants, though this specimen bears no mintmark. The surrounding circular Latin legend reads ENRICVS REX, separated from the central device by an inner border. The overall die work is typical of hammered billon coinage of the period, with irregular flan and moderately bold but worn relief.
