| Obverse description | The upper field features a raised circular medallion with a right-facing bare-headed bust of King Haakon VII, surrounded by the legend ·HAAKON·VII· NORGES KONGE·. Below, in the centre of the field, the jubilee inscription JUBILÆUM / 1814–1914 appears in large relief lettering, flanked by elaborate oak and pine branches. At the bottom, the crowned Norwegian royal coat of arms — depicting a crowned lion rampant holding a halberd on a vertically lined shield — is flanked by two ribbons bearing the motto ALT FOR NORGE. |
