| Reverse description | The Eidsvoll Building is depicted in fine relief within a central beaded ring inscribed ⋆EIDSVOLD⋆, with the date 1814 below and an open book bearing the legend KONGERIGET NORGES GRUNDLOV in the exergue. Seven portrait busts of key figures of the 1814 Norwegian constitution surround the central motif: Christian Frederik at top centre within his own raised ring, flanked by (from left to right) Nicolai Wergeland, an unidentified figure, Georg Sverdrup, Teis Lundegaard, Herman Wedel Jarlsberg, and Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie, each identified by a name banner. The entire composition is enclosed by a continuous outer legend reading ·VI·FØLGER·FÆDRES·LYSE·STJERNE·SOM·MANER·OS·TIL·FAST·AT·VÆRNE·OM·FÆDRELANDETS·SAG, with the engraver's signature Iv. THRONDSEN. F. at the base. |
