Obverse description The central field, set against a polished dark background, features a detailed exploded-view relief of the Concorde supersonic aircraft, with its components separated to reveal the internal structure. A ring of stars frames the central design on both sides. The upper legend reads CONCORDE - THE QUEEN OF AVIATION and the lower legend reads CONCORDE - FLEURON DE L'AVIATION, with a small mint mark visible at the bottom of the field.

Reverse description The central field features a full-colour printed scene depicting the Concorde aircraft flying over The Mall in London, accompanied by the Red Arrows aerobatic display team leaving coloured vapour trails. The Union Jack and French Tricolour flags are depicted in the upper portion of the field. Bilingual inscriptions in English and French appear within the central design alongside the date 4 June 2002. The gilt border contains stars and the legends Concorde - The Legend and Concorde - La Légende.
