Obverse description The obverse features a detailed exploded-view relief of the Concorde supersonic aircraft in the centre field against a dark background, with stars flanking the design on both sides. The bilingual legend runs around the rim, reading above and below the central motif. A small mint mark appears at the bottom of the inner field.

Reverse description The reverse features a colour-printed central insert depicting the Concorde in flight over a mountain range, with the Union Jack and the French tricolour displayed at the top. Bilingual inscriptions appear within the coloured field, and the date 1 October 1969 is shown at the bottom of the insert. The gold-plated rim is decorated with stars on a dark border, with bilingual legends above and below.
