| Obverse description | Two standing figures in high relief face each other at centre: an elderly bearded Oriental man in robes and turban, with a mosque and minaret visible in the lower left field behind him, presenting a cornucopia overflowing with grain and foliage to a classical female allegorical figure representing industry and commerce, a caduceus visible at lower right. A five-pointed star appears in the upper field between the figures. The legend BAGDAD and BAHNBAU flanks the scene on either side within a beaded border, with the engraver's signature M. DAZIO in the lower exergue. |
