| Obverse description | Plain field bearing three lines of incuse lettering in relief: the initial 'M' at top, 'PB' in the centre referring to minister Patrick Bryce (1771–1816), and the date '1786' in the lower portion of the field. The casting is crude and irregular, typical of Scottish lead communion tokens of this period. |
