Reverse description A depiction of the Virgin Mary with the Christ Child seated atop a fortified bastion, with a radiant glory behind them, referencing divine protection. Below, a large decorated war banner or Ottoman standard is displayed across the middle of the field, while the lower register shows a dynamic battle scene with cavalry and fleeing figures commemorating the defeat of the Turks at Párkány by King John III of Poland in 1683. The upper arc bears the legend SVB · TVVM · PRAESIDIVM · and a three-line inscription in the lower exergue names the victory.
