Obverse description A crowned Polish eagle displayed in high relief, shown with wings spread and holding a key and sceptre in its talons, with an orb at its feet. The device closely imitates the reverse design of the Stanisław August Poniatowski ducat. The field is plain and the piece is bordered by a milled edge.

Reverse description The reverse bears a five-line Latin inscription in the central field stating the weight standard, dated 1791, with a circular legend around the periphery indicating the Cologne mark standard.
