Obverse description Bare head of Marcus Antonius facing right, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of late Republican portraiture. The portrait displays strong, individualistic features — a prominent jaw, fleshy neck, and tightly curled hair — consistent with the accepted iconography of Mark Antony on cistophoric coinage. The surrounding field carries the Latin legend M•ANTONIVS•IMP•COS•DESIG•ITER•ET•TERT, arranged in a continuous circular band around the portrait. The flan is notably broad and slightly irregular in outline, as is typical of the cistophoric series struck in Asia Minor.
