Obverse description Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in finely modelled relief with naturalistic hair swept forward in short, layered strands across the brow, characteristic of the Augustan classicising style. The emperor's effigy is depicted with youthful idealised features, a firm jawline, and a slender neck truncation. The encircling legend IMP CAESAR runs along the left periphery of the field in incuse Latin characters. The coin's flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with the cistophoric tradition of Asia Minor.
