| Obverse description | Elongated oval silver ingot bearing six official government countermarks (stamps) applied in two parallel vertical rows across the central field, with two additional stamps at each tapered tip of the ingot. The stamps, impressed after casting, each display the kanji character 元 (Gen), denoting the Genroku era, serving as authentication marks of the Edo-period monetary authority. The overall surface displays the characteristic rough, granular texture of cast silver, with the stamps appearing as recessed rectangular cartouches incuse into the metal. |
