| Obverse description | The obverse displays the four-character legend 順治通寶 (Shun Zhi Tong Bao) in raised relief in regular script (kaishu), arranged around a central square hole in the traditional Chinese cash coin format: 順 at top, 治 at bottom, 通 at right, and 寶 at left.
