Obverse description The obverse features four Chinese characters in raised relief arranged in the traditional cross-reading order around a central square hole: 雍正通寶 (Yongzheng Tongbao), referencing the Yongzheng reign period (1722–1735) of the Qing Dynasty. The stippled field surrounding the characters is characteristic of charm pieces rather than circulating coinage.
