Obverse description Against a black enameled field, the central device depicts the Republic of Korea Air Force emblem: a gilt eagle with spread wings flanked by laurel branches, surmounted by a stylized flame and two gold stars, with the Taeguk symbol in red and blue enamel at the base. The surrounding border is blue enamel with the legend 'AIR DEFENSE ARTILLERY COMMAND' in gilt Latin capitals along the upper arc and Hangul characters along the lower arc, flanked by small crossed-cannon insignia devices.

Reverse description Against a black enameled field, the central device features a gilt spread-winged emblem with a central shield in blue and red enamel bearing a jet aircraft in relief, flanked by two unit insignia shields and surmounted by a circular device with radiating sunburst. Below the central emblem, crossed missiles and artillery pieces are depicted in relief. The border is decorated with a continuous ring of gilt five-pointed stars. A Hangul legend appears on a banner across the center of the design.
