Obverse description Bearded portrait bust of Artaxias I facing right, wearing a five-pointed tiara adorned with a star motif and secured with a diadem. The effigy is rendered in a Hellenistic style typical of Armenian royal coinage of the period, with the king's hair visible beneath the tiara. The field is plain, and the overall style reflects the influence of Seleucid artistic traditions on early Armenian royal portraiture.
