Reverse description Amphora depicted upright in the centre of the field, its handles clearly articulated on either side of the neck, serving as the principal civic emblem of Chios. The ethnic ΧΙΟΣ is inscribed to the left of the amphora, while the magistrate's name ΤΙΜΟΚΛΗ appears to the right, both legends disposed vertically in the field flanking the central device. The coin exhibits a dark green patina consistent with prolonged burial.
