Reverse description Eagle standing left on a thunderbolt, wings spread and partially closed, rendered in the typical Ptolemaic convention. The eagle's head is turned to the left and the pose is characteristic of the dynastic eagle type established under the early Ptolemies. A dotted border frames the design. The Greek royal legend ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ is inscribed in two columns flanking the eagle, reading downward on either side.
