The eagle's head is turned to the left and the pose is characteristic of the dynastic eagle type established under the early Ptolemies. A dotted border frames the design. The Greek royal legend ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ is inscribed in two columns flanking the eagle, reading downward on either side. |
