Obverse description Bare head of Apollo facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic style with finely detailed hair swept back from the forehead. The youthful, idealized visage is characteristic of Seleucid royal coinage associating the dynastic line with the god Apollo. The portrait occupies the central field of the flan, with no surrounding legend on this side.
