| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing right, depicted in profile with a Corinthian-style helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in a bold, if somewhat rough, provincial style characteristic of Aeolian civic bronze coinage. The helmet crest is indicated by fine raised lines along the crown, and the facial features — including the eye, nose, and chin — are modelled with reasonable detail. The portrait fills the flan, with little remaining field visible. |
