| Obverse description | Facing head of Zeus rendered in archaic Greek style, depicted full-face with a broad, bearded visage and a wreath of laurel or olive about the hair. The facial features are boldly modelled with deeply set eyes, a prominent nose, and a full beard, characteristic of late Classical Asia Minor bronze coinage. The head is centrally positioned within the circular flan, occupying the majority of the obverse field. |
