| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena Alea in right profile, wearing a Corinthian-style helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in low relief characteristic of Arkadian bronze coinage of the mid-4th century BC. The facial features are boldly modeled, with a prominent nose and defined chin. The neck is bare and the bust truncated at the lower edge of the flan. The surfaces show extensive green patination consistent with ancient burial. |
