Obverse description Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius Gallus as Caesar facing right, with finely striated hair rendered in layered rows. The officina mark delta (Δ) appears in the left field before the bust. The encircling legend reads D N CONSTANTIVS IVN NOB C, identifying the subject as a junior member of the imperial college. The portrait displays the elongated, stylised features characteristic of mid-fourth-century Roman provincial die-cutting. A beaded border frames the entire design.
