Obverse description
Obverse: in the center is a composition consisting of a stylized image of St. George the Victorious, located against the background of a relief image of the St. Petersburg Mint, surrounded by commemorative coins minted in 2013. Depending on the viewing angle, the image of the Holy Spearman depicted on the coats of arms in 1724 or the modern image of St. George defeating the dragon become visible. In the lower part, on a polished background, there is a matte image of a fragment of a scroll of the charter with a relief inscription `289 years` and a colored logo of the St. Petersburg Mint, made using the pad printing method.

Reverse: in the center is a relief image of the stone walls and Nevsky Gate of the Peter and Paul Fortress. Depending on the viewing angle, stylized images of the Peter and Paul Cathedral or the Angel on the spire of the Peter and Paul Cathedral become visible through the gate. At the bottom is a mirrored panoramic view of the Nevsky Gate, made using laser engraving on a chasing tool.
