Obverse description Quartered shield of arms superimposed on a long cross pattée that extends to the beaded border, dividing the surrounding circular legend into four sections. The upper-left and lower-right quarters display horizontal barry stripes, while the upper-right and lower-left quarters each bear a rampant lion. The shield is rendered in a plain field with no additional ornamentation. The legend is struck in capital Latin characters separated by pellet stops, running continuously around the inner beaded circle.
