Obverse description Draped bust of Ernest of Bavaria facing right, wearing a ruffled collar, set within an inner beaded circle. The effigy is rendered in the late-Renaissance hammered style typical of Liège ecclesiastical coinage of the period. Surrounding the bust, a Latin legend reading the issuer's full titles runs along the outer margin of the flan.
