Obverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, rendered in the Gothic heraldic style typical of late medieval Low Countries coinage. The shield is surmounted by a mitre or episcopal crown, with flanking decorative elements. A circular inner ring encloses the armorial device, separating it from the surrounding marginal legend. The peripheral legend in uncial Gothic lettering reads IOhS DE hORn EPS LEODI, identifying John of Horne as Bishop of Liège. The coin shows characteristic irregular flan shape and uneven strike consistent with hammered production of the period.

Reverse description Central field features a long cross pattée extending nearly to the inner circle, dividing the field into four quarters, each containing a small decorative charge or pellet, consistent with standard Liège groot typology of the late fifteenth century. A beaded or plain inner circle frames the cross design. The marginal legend in uncial Gothic lettering encircles the field, proclaiming the mint of issue. The die work is characteristic of the Weert mint's output under John of Horne, with an irregular flan and flat areas resulting from the hammered technique.
