Obverse description Bare male head facing right, rendered in a schematic Gallo-Belgic style with pronounced brow and roughly indicated facial features. The hair is suggested by incised lines falling around the crown and nape, characteristic of late La Tène artistic conventions. The legend CARCVS appears in the field, likely referencing a local Remic magistrate or chieftain name. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with the cast production technique. The overall relief is low and the surfaces show a dark olive-brown patina typical of Belgic bronze issues of the mid-first century BC.
