Obverse description Elephant advancing right, rendered in a schematic Celtic style with a large domed head and rudimentary trunk curving downward. Beneath the animal, a decorative grid or ladder-like motif occupies the lower field, composed of rows of pellets and horizontal lines, a characteristic feature of Treveran bronze coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with the hammered production technique of the period. The surface retains a deep green patina indicative of long burial.
