Obverse description Stylized male head facing right, the hair arranged in large, boldly rendered locks swept forward and terminating in rounded pellets or balls at the ends, characteristic of late Gaulish artistic convention. The eye is rendered in an elongated, pointed form typical of the Senonian die-cutting tradition. Beneath the chin, a torc is depicted with beaded terminals, an attribute of high status in Celtic iconography. A small S-shaped ornament or curl appears in the field before the mouth, serving as a die-control mark or decorative element. The overall style reflects the abstract, curvilinear aesthetic of late La Tène Celtic coinage.
