Obverse description Draped bust of the nymph Kyme facing right, her hair rendered in wavy locks gathered at the nape beneath a stephane or cap, with finely modeled facial features in the Hellenistic style. The portrait is enclosed within a beaded border (dotted ring) that follows the coin's irregular flan. The effigy displays the characteristic local artistic tradition of Aeolian Kyme, with a softly rendered profile and naturalistic hair treatment.
