| Obverse description | Laureate head of a deity facing right, with voluminous curly hair rendered in stylised locks cascading over the cheek in characteristically Gaulish artistic fashion. The neck is adorned with a torc, a prestige ornament emblematic of Celtic iconography. The modelling of the facial features reflects the bold, schematic style typical of Bituriges Cubi coinage of the Late Iron Age. |
