Obverse description Eagle displayed in left profile, depicted standing with wings partly raised, rendered in low relief characteristic of late Classical Sicilian bronze coinage. The bird, a long-established civic emblem of Akragas, is shown with naturalistic body modelling, though the surfaces are heavily worn and encrusted with dark patina. The field is plain and uninscribed. The flan is irregular and slightly ovoid, consistent with hand-struck provincial production of this period.
