Obverse description Thin single-sided bracteate struck in low relief. The central device depicts a crozier (pastoral staff) crossed diagonally with a sword or sceptre, forming an X-shaped composition above a prominent fleur-de-lis motif at the base. Two small pellets flank the lower portion of the central design. The entire device is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by a raised concentric border ring, consistent with the stylised ecclesiastical bracteate coinage of the Bishopric of Bamberg in the second half of the thirteenth century. No legible inscription is present.
