Reverse description Central field displays the name of the issuing lord, Giovanni Visconti, rendered in large Gothic capital letters arranged in a cruciform or stacked pattern within a beaded inner circle, a design type derived from the Bolognino Grosso tradition. The letters are boldly struck and occupy most of the inner field. A milled or rope-pattern border separates the inner circle from the outer legend, which carries the Latin inscription naming Giovanni Visconti as lord. The overall style reflects the influence of the Agontano grosso tradition adapted under Visconti lordship of Bologna.
