Obverse description Central field occupied by a crowned Gothic castle of three towers within a beaded inner circle, the central tower taller and flanked by two lower turrets, all rendered in the characteristic Castilian heraldic style. The castle is set within a decorative quadrilobe or cusped frame. The surrounding circular legend reads in Gothic Latin script, separated by rosette or cross stops.
