Obverse description Central device depicts a turreted Gothic castle set within a lozenge (diamond-shaped) frame, itself enclosed by a double inner circle, characteristic of the Enrique IV billon blanca coinage. The castle is rendered in a stylized medieval manner with three towers visible. The surrounding circular legend reads ENRICVS DEI GRACIA REX in Latin characters, partially legible due to the irregular flan and strike. The field shows the typical worn surface associated with hammered billon coinage of fifteenth-century Castile.
