| Obverse description | Central device depicting a Gothic turreted castle with three towers, the central tower surmounted by a cross, all rendered in the late medieval Castilian heraldic style. The castle is set within a beaded inner circle, with the royal legend surrounding it in the outer field. The Latin circular legend reads ENRICVS DEI GRACIA, invoking the king's divine right to rule. The hammered flan shows characteristic irregular edges and uneven surface typical of late 14th- to early 15th-century Castilian billon coinage. A mintmark associated with the Segovia mint may appear in the field. |
