Obverse description The Agnus Dei (Lamb of God) depicted in the central field, shown passant with a nimbus and supporting a cross-staff with a pennant, rendered in the characteristic Gothic style of late 14th-century Castilian coinage. The figure is set within a plain inner circle, with the surrounding field bearing a Latin legend reading AGNVS DEI QVI TOLIS PE, referencing the opening words of John 1:29. The overall strike is irregular and slightly weak in areas, consistent with hammered billon coinage of the period.
