Reverse description Central field displays a floriated cross pattee with a fleur-de-lis in each of the four quarters, all set within a beaded inner circle. The cross divides the field into four equal quadrants, each containing a stylized fleur-de-lis motif, a design hallmark of the Valois monarchy's billon coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the inner circle, bearing the devotional inscription SIT NOMEN DOMINI BENEDICTUM, abbreviated as struck. The letter T, serving as the mint mark for Tarascon, appears in the legend. The flan is irregular and slightly chipped at the edge, consistent with hammered production of this period.
