Reverse description Central field features a long cross with fleurs-de-lis or decorative terminals at its extremities, dividing the field into four quarters, each containing heraldic charges associated with the Bourbon-Dombes arms. The design is enclosed within a double beaded inner circle. The surrounding circular legend in Gothic Latin characters reads DISPERSIT DEDIT PAVPERIBVS, a Scriptural motto (Psalm 111:9) meaning 'He distributed and gave to the poor,' concluding with a variable terminal letter or symbol that distinguishes the different die varieties documented by Divo. The legend is initiated by a cross pattée, and the overall execution is characteristic of late 15th-century feudal hammered silver coinage.
