| Obverse description | Laureate and diademed draped bust of Venus facing right, rendered in archaic Italic style with a sceptre visible over the shoulder. The portrait displays carefully detailed hair bound with a diadem beneath the laurel wreath, with loose curls falling at the neck. The bust occupies the central field with minimal surrounding legend. The modelling is characteristic of the local Apulian die-cutting tradition of the late third to mid-second century BC. |
