Obverse description Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in the Campanian artistic tradition with pronounced curling beard and flowing hair. An olive wreath crowns the deity's head, with individual leaves rendered in fine relief. The portrait fills the central field and is enclosed within a plain inner border, with the flan edge showing the characteristic irregular outline of hand-struck coinage. The modeling of the facial features displays a robust, somewhat archaizing style consistent with south Italian bronze coinage of the Second Punic War period.
