Obverse description Two armored figures, Friedrich III (the Wise) and Johann Georg, stand facing each other across a table on which rests an open Bible, each resting a hand upon it; Friedrich holds a sword at his side. Between them rises a crucifix with the figure of Christ in relief. The circular legend runs along the upper border, with the date 1617 in the lower exergue.
