Obverse description Central field bearing the tughra (royal cipher) of Sultan Ibrahim I rendered in bold Arabic calligraphy, enclosed within a circular cartouche. The tughra occupies the majority of the flan, with secondary Arabic inscriptions filling the surrounding field. The strike is characteristic of hammered Ottoman coinage, with an irregular flan edge and typical surface relief of the period.
