Obverse description Front-facing bust of Carl Friedrich Plattner in low relief, depicted in period dress with a cravat. The dates 1800 and 1858 flank the effigy in the field, and the legend CARL FRIEDRICH PLATTNER curves along the lower portion of the medal. A suspension hole is pierced at the top.
