Reverse description Bust of Saint Ursus facing right, depicted in armour with a crested helmet, within a beaded inner circle. The date 16-22 is divided to either side of the bust. The legend ·SANCTVS·VRSVS·MART runs around the periphery, separated by pellet stops, identifying the patron saint of Solothurn as martyr. The portrait is rendered in a bold, provincial early seventeenth-century style typical of Swiss cantonal billon coinage.
