| Obverse description | Nimbate Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing, right hand raised in gesture of benediction, left hand holding the Gospels. Christological sigla flank the figure in the field. The depiction follows the standard late Byzantine iconographic convention for the enthroned Christ type, rendered in a frontal hieratic style characteristic of Palaiologan coinage. |
