Reverse description Central field depicts an oval cartouche bearing the Basel carnival mask (Larve) motif, flanked by decorative ribbon scrolls and surmounted by a wide-brimmed hat with an elaborate feather plume. The engraver's signature 'W. Hege' appears to the right of the cartouche, with the mint mark 'BM' and silver fineness stamp '900' at the base. Three wavy horizontal lines appear to the lower right of the date. The circumferential legend reads 'KANTSCHÜTZENFEST BEIDER BASEL' around the upper perimeter, with the date '1968' along the lower perimeter.
