Obverse description Central field depicts a relief scene based on Rafael Beltranena y Piñol's 1921 painting 'La Mañana', showing a group of dignitaries gathered at the signing of the Central American Declaration of Independence, with one figure seated at a desk holding a quill. The legend arcs across the upper rim, and the date of the event appears along the lower exergue.

Reverse description Central device depicts the coat of arms of the Federal Republic of Central America: a triangular shield containing a radiant sun rising behind a row of five volcanoes, with the motto 'DIOS UNION LIBERTAD' and the inscription '1 OZ PLATA PURA' at the base of the triangle, all within a circular inner border bearing the legend 'REPUBLICA DE CENTROAMERICA'. The shield is surmounted by a decorative crest. The legend 'BANCO ATLANTIDA' arcs along the lower portion of the inner border. An olive branch flanks each side of the shield in the field. The Banco Atlántida logo and the bicentennial dates '1821' and '2021' appear in the lower exergue.
